Health Issues In the Community: empowering young people to make real change
The young people’s version of the Health Issues in the Community (HIIC) course is an engaging, interactive experience, which supports young people to develop skills in critical thinking, and gain a broad understanding of health inequalities, power and social justice issues, and community development approaches to health and wellbeing - and how they can use these to make real change happen in their communities.
We recently launched this version of the course at a fantastic event in Glasgow! If you missed it, you can download the slides (PDF) and there will be a roundup of the day in Snippets and on the CHEX website soon.
Read through some of our resources below to get a flavour of how the course can make a difference to young people and how you can get involved.
