Health issues in the Community (HIIC) and the Participatory Democracy Certificate (PDC)

Please see our new 20 hour youth short course below. This can be done as a whole or each session can be stand- alone.

If doing the full 20 hour course, you can put your young people forward for YouthLink’s Participatory Democracy Certificate, gaining the young person 2 points at SCQF level 5.

Please see the instructions in the Short Course Exercises on how to do this and read the YouthLink guidance. All of this is contained below.

We have also developed a sample PDC proposal form, where you demonstrate how your programme covers all the PDC learning outcomes. You can use the template below as a starting point. We also have a sample Portfolio below which contains what a young person’s portfolio should consist of, thank you Castlemilk Youth Complex!

These are here to offer you some help and guidance and is not a replacement for you going through and following the guidance from YouthLink.

Please note: you could also use the PDC if doing a full Part 1 and a young person has done their learning logs and presentation but has not completed their essay. (on the understanding that you have gathered the evidence required for the PDC)
