Sparking healthier futures: Celebrating the impact of Health Issues In the Community

22nd October
The Barracks, Stirling

Join the HIIC team in October to share good practice, learn from some useful, practical examples of HIIC in action, and find out more about the lasting impact of HIIC in communities where it is used to spark a healthier future for people by taking action on what is important to them.

Who is this event for?

While this event is primarily relevant to HIIC tutors and participants, we warmly welcome folk who are thinking about becoming a tutor or introducing HIIC into their area or team, or would just like to know more.

What’s on the programme?

We’ll be sharing and learning from HIIC tutors on the myriad ways in which HIIC can be used as a catalyst for community action with adults and young people across Scotland. There will also be sessions on practical support for the delivery of HIIC; we’re currently working on inputs about getting participants their HIIC qualifications, and guidance on the use of AI. There will be a focus on both adult and youth groups, so plenty for everyone!

We know these events can be very busy and the programmes packed, so we’ve been mindful to build in time to simply catch up with one another and share professional learning. There is certainly a lot to discuss and share about the huge amount of hard work from the amazing people across sectors and throughout Scotland who make Health Issues In the Community such a long-standing and successful programme.

We would love to see you there - sign up now in the form below!

We’re also still on the lookout for contributions so if have anything you would like to contribute, please let us know in the form and we’ll be in touch soon. We will have boards for people to put up posters and tables with space for leaflets so please do let us know if you’d like to showcase any of your HIIC work.
